We’re excited to announce that we’ve raised an initial £1.13 million to transform how healthcare is accessed and paid for!
Our round was led by Aviva, with the support of Ascension, Oxford Capital, and Cur8 Capital, to enable the HealthKey team to:
Since launching in 2022, HealthKey has supported over 70 health providers, offering hundreds of health and wellbeing services for thousands of users – including employees, individuals, gym members, and more.
In just two years, co-founders CEO David Joerring and CTO Tudor Cotop have quickly grown HealthKey into a team of eight.
The funding is an exciting milestone in advancing HealthKey’s mission to simplify access to affordable healthcare. HealthKey’s CEO, David Joerring says:
“Our AI-powered discovery tool helps people find services based on normal language searches, like ‘my back hurts’, rather than searching for ‘physiotherapy’. This particularly helps people discover health areas, content, and services they didn’t know existed.”
With work-related stress costing UK businesses £28 billion each year, organisations with a strong wellbeing culture see 41% lower healthcare costs and 62% higher engagement.
Wellbeing is evolving, and it’s no longer just the NHS or employers driving change. Industries like gyms and financial services are recognising that investing in health isn’t just the right thing to do; it also drives better business outcomes.
HealthKey makes it easier for organisations to connect their people with the right healthcare services. CEO David Joerring explains:
“We hope to power a shift to a more proactive and preventative approach to health, and increase people’s feeling of control over their own health. Access to health services currently goes through either employer, gym, insurer, public health, or self-paid, and it can be challenging for people to figure out what they have access to and how to access services. By flipping that ownership and giving people a front door to health services that are integrated with payers, we can give people more control and better information, and hopefully make accessing health services as easy as buying any consumer product online.”
When organisations prioritise health, they see:
Wellbeing shouldn’t end when a job ends or life circumstances change. HealthKey provides flexible health benefits that move with people, supporting businesses in building healthier cultures and lifelong brand advocates – while ensuring individuals have budget-friendly access to the care they need.
This is only the beginning. If you’re interested in partnering with us or exploring how HealthKey can support your business and wellbeing initiatives, we’d love to hear from you!
